“As they say not all hero’s wear capes but Samantha Augaitis-Elzey is surly a hero to me. I’ve had Sam as a counselor for over 3 years now and followed her to Sincere. I don’t connect with most people but I was able to connect with Sam and work through my goals. Being a veteran it’s hard to talk to people about issues especially finding the right counselor at the VA that cares about your issues. I was able to talk with Sam and was able to come up with realistic goals to help me through some issues I had with the military in general and also life events. If it was not for Sam I don’t know if I would ever achieved these goals and who knows what kind of down hill spiral would have come out of it. Sam is truly a very talented counselor and I feel one of the best out there. To me she is my hero and saving grace when life throws you a few curve balls”.

Sam's approach to counseling is down-to-earth, insightful, and best of all, honest. I had mountains of issues rooted in childhood and religious trauma, and with careful questions and thoughtful suggestions, she helped me overcome them. She's not afraid to tell the truth, even if I don't want to hear it, but I always find that I needed to hear it. As a family we've had experience with a number of different counseling approaches over the years, but none were ever as effective at actually moving past problems as hers”.

She has helped me through so much these past few years. Her mindful way of thinking, helpful tools, and "homework" (to keep me accountable) have truly been life-changing. Sam is also very flexible when it comes to scheduling, especially when it comes to me moving away to college and switching to meeting virtually. Her space is very cozy and comfortable and she makes me feel very heard and seen while also telling me the hard truth when I need to hear it. She truly is the best and I am so thankful to her”!
